Assessment of Farmers’ Perceptions on Soil Erosion and Soil Conservation Techniques in Zing Local Government Area of Taraba State, Nigeria

In Zing LGA of Taraba State, the study evaluated farmers’ perceptions soil erosion and their conservation practices. To gather information for from farmers farmland, field observation, informal interviews, use research instruments including questionnaires remotely sensed imageries were all used. These data analyzed in a Windows GIS context using SPSS 23. The results indicate that 68% respondents are men, while 32% women farmers, 71% whom married 50% them fall within 41–50 age range. Additionally, 70% have large families with size range 9 to 12 individuals, 86% literate. High incomes generated by farmers. According study, 89.1% farms on steep mild slopes do not see as specific issue property.
